In the evolving world of cryptocurrency and decentralised finance (DeFi), two Ethereum(ETH) traders made a fortune using a strategy called looping. They made an astounding $120million in profits.

What is the looping strategy?

1. The process starts with a trader putting their asset, like Ether, into a lending protocol.
2. Then, the traders borrow a different asset, usually a stablecoin like DAI, using their initial deposit as collateral.
3. The DAI is then swapped for the Ether which closes the loop.
4. The newly acquired Ether is then returned to the lending program, which lets the trader borrow more money.
5. By doing this, the trader creates a leveraged position on their original Ether deposit. This means they can multiply their money by 3 to 5 times.

Traders are hopeful about the possibility of an Ether ETF because they've seen how successful Bitcoin ETFs have been. They think that having an ETF for Ether could make its value go up even more and create more chances to make money.
